A. Kish Kentucky Association of Manufacturers Moves Headquarters to Frankfort Louisville -- After nearly 100 years in Louisville, the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM) is moving its headquarters 38 miles east to Frankfort “to be a more effective advocate for the Kentucky manufacturing industry,” according to Jim LeMaster, president and CEO. KAM officially closes its office at 2303 Greene Way in the Derby City at 5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, and will reopen at 609 Chamberlin Ave. (zip 40601) on Monday, Nov. 19. The new main phone number is (502) 352-2485. The new office location is five minutes off the west Frankfort I-64 exit 53. “Because Frankfort is the center of state government, KAM needs to be closer to the government policymakers, governor and legislators to be a better advocate for our members,” says LeMaster. “We have the state’s largest, 10-member lobbying team with more than 200 years of experience. Being closer to the action will allow us to collaborate with government leaders and other advocacy groups to improve workforce development and lower costs for Kentucky manufacturers,” he says.
