The Kentucky Association of Manufacturers Announces Speakers for the Third Annual Manufacturing/Legislative Summit to take place in Frankfort, Feb. 9

LOUISVILLE - Governor Steve Beshear has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at the ProsperousKentuckysm 2009 Manufacturing/Legislative Summit in Frankfort on Monday, Feb. 9, according to Jim LeMaster, president and CEO of the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM).

Governor Beshear would headline a top notch list of speakers including Kentucky's Senate President David Williams; Speaker Greg Stumbo; Dr. Len Peters, Secretary of the Energy and Environment Cabinet; Dr. Phil Marksbury University of Kentucky Center for Manufacturing's Lean System Program and Brent Baughman of Greenebaum, Doll and McDonald, PLLC. The aforementioned speakers will address hundreds of manufacturers, education and government leaders at KAM's third annual ProsperousKentuckysm Summit and Trade Show. Pete Gritton, chairman of the board of the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers and Vice President of Human Resources for Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, will emcee the event.

The event will be from 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Capital Plaza Hotel (including a lunch), followed by a tour of the Capitol, a brief viewing of a session of the General Assembly and concluding with a legislative reception from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Capital Plaza Ballroom.
